Handmade white metal specialist, Brooklin Models, has been busy on its production line recently.
New releases have arrived from Lansdowne Models Images

In addition to the arrival of the long awaited and much anticipated Lansdowne Models LDM124 1954 Ford Consul Mk.I in Dorchester Grey with red interior for £125 (see separate article on page 62), also now available is a re-colour of LDM116a Lansdowne 1952 Ford V8 Station Wagon. The new colour is Winchester Blue (see photograph below) and the recommended retail price is also £125.

Finally for this month, there is another re-colour - Adobe Beige over Sierra Gold Poly with tan and cream interior on BRK221X 1957 Chevrolet BeI Air 4 door Hardtop (photographed above). This is a limited edition run of just 199 modeIs. Recommended retail price here is £175.

Each model is hand-built, involving a labour intensive process from beginning to end. Brass masters are made using the same skills and tools that a jeweller would. Brooklins are not mass produced - production runs are counted in hundreds, not thousands, so models will always have a rarity value. Due to the handmade production, Brooklin can only make a limited number of models every month. Its work is very time consuming and makes every piece a work of art.
