New diecast trucks: Search Impex unveils British Heavyweights series

Search Impex has announced a brand new series of diecast models, called the British Heavyweights range. The 1/50 scale replicas will be a selection of solo trucks from the British heavy haulage scene and will be produced exclusively by Search Impex for WSI Collectibles. Each model will also be a certificated limited edition.

The aim is to have the first model ready for the end of 2013, with follow-ups scheduled at intervals of two months... although this can't be guaranteed. This exciting new series will kick off with well known heavy haulage operator J B Rawcliffe & Sons, followed by Suffolk-based heavy haulier H C Wilson Transport, Somerscales Heavy Haulage and finishing off with Scottish-based heay haulage operator MGS Logistics.

The J B Rawcliffe & Sons Ltd model is a MAN TGX XXL (8x4) tractor unit, complete with ballast box and will retail for £103, the H C Wilson replica is the 'European Legend' -  a Scania 143E (8x4) tractor unit complete with ballast box, also retailing for £103, the Somerscales model will be Volvo FH3 Globetrotter XL (8x4) tractor unit costing £99, while MGS Logistics has a Scania Top R620 (8x4) tractor unit, also costing £99. Each of these models can be pre-ordered now from the Search Impex website.
