Model Tractor, Plant and Construction Show 2021 cancelled

Meridienne Exhibitions has announced that the April show has been cancelled due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19.

Having already been postponed from 7th February to 25th April 2021 it now seems unlikely, due to the ongoing government COVID-19 restrictions that those restrictions will be lifted in time to deliver the event in April.

As readers will be aware indoor mass gatherings have been banned since March 2020 leaving venues unable to open under national COVID-19 restrictions tiers 3 and 4. Only when an area drops to tier 1 or 2 level can they reopen subject to COVID-19 secure compliance.

The decision to cancel the April show has therefore had to be taken since it is not possible to accurately predict when restrictions will be eased sufficiently to enable the organisers to plan and deliver this highly popular show safely without compromise.

Chris Deith, Exhibition Director of Meridienne Exhibitions explains "We are aware that our exhibitors and visitors will be as disappointed as we are with having to take this decision but given the uncertain times it is simply not possible to go ahead with the show at this time. We look forward to returning in 2022."
