Videogame enthusiasts, comic and graphic novel lovers plus all kinds of sci-fi, steampunk, manga and fantasy fans converged on the Telford International Centre on 18th February for the MCM Midlands Comic Con event.

The halls were alive with youngsters, teenagers and the not so young, dressed as their favourite book, comic, game or film character – and the sight was amazing. Long flowing hair, massive swords, cloaks and capes and incredible make up transformed the fans into their alter-egos as they got well and truly into the spirit of the event.

There was lots going on from stalls selling the latest collectables in the genre, illustrators displaying amazing artistry skills alongside authors of graphic comics and Indie books. Game fans could try out the latest products and as a highlight of the day, world famous videogame developer, director and producer Hironobu Sakaguchi was there talking about his career and latest project – Nintendo's critically-acclaimed The Last Story for Wii™ ahead of its launch.
