Excalibur Auctions is excited to announce the sale of a large and unique collection accumulated by the late Barry Fentiman.

Mr Fentiman founded the Wrenn Collectors’ Club more than 30 years ago, and it was his wish that it should continue for collectors and those running Wrenn Model Railways after he passed in July of this year.

This collection is one of the largest Wrenn Collections in the world, with Barry being well known worldwide within the Wrenn Fraternity – especially in Europe, Canada and Australia.

His collection comprises rare and items which are seldom seen. The collection is so large it is being split across several auctions with the first part being included in the next Excalibur Auctions’ Vintage Toy and Model Railway sale on 8th November.  The rest of the collection will be auctioned during 2020 across at least two more sales.

In addition to Wrenn, Barry also amassed a large quantity of Hornby Dublo, Tri-Ang Hornby, Hornby Railways and Airfix model railways and other items – with the collections comprising more than 2000 individual items.
