Organisers of the First National Diecast Model, Hobby and Diorama Show announced today that they have assembled the largest gathering of diecast collectables and displays ever to assemble under one roof in Ireland.

“When asked what a diorama is, I like to think of it as a little bit of everyday real life transposed onto a model that everyone can experience for themselves", stated Mark Tierney, event organiser. "Essentially a snapshot of life in Ireland today, everybody knows about model train layout displays but what few people realise is that we have some very talented people making scale models of working on a farm, life in a village, car rallying and so on. Visitors will be treated to the magnificent displays and will also get to interact with the people who made them.”

The event is not only a huge display of diecast models and dioramas from some of the leading exponents of this popular pastime but it will also encompass hobbies and interests from across the spectrum including cycling, radio controlled models, railway displays, Airsoft, sci-fi memorabilia, real life motor and truck displays, family entertainment and more.

“This event is the first of its kind for Ireland", Mark continued. "It offers visitors of different interests a unique opportunity to gather under the same roof to observe and admire all that Ireland has to offer for budding hobbyists. We started out to build a show that would compete with the best in Europe and we are there. It is very exciting that we have organised the largest gathering of people from the diecast world, whether trading or displaying, under one roof.”

It is shaping up to be a must for every hobbyist & collector and has a lot going on to keep the whole family entertained.

The show takes place on October 12th and 13th in the Exhibition Centre at Punchestown Race Course. For more details you can visit the website show website at www.diecasthobbyshow.com.
