CMC is celebrating 20 years of producing incredibly high end diecast models this year and judging by the models on show here in Nuremberg, it's a business model that should hopefully propel it into the next 20 years and beyond. Yes, the models may not be the cheapest but these 1/18 scale replicas are true masterpieces for car lovers and diecast lovers alike.

To give visitors an idea of just how much work and how many pieces go into each of its releases, CMC had helpfully dismantled the new Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato and, although all 1,000+ pieces weren't in the cabinet, these tiny bits of metal and plastic showcased the incredible attention to detail.

To ensure the Zagato was just right, CMC worked closely with Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. and its Heritage Centre. Advice and support was invaluable according to the manufacturer because there are many different variations of the 19 original DB4 Zagatos - in fact, each of these originals is known to be unique on its own. Rather than basing the model on any particular car, the maker has chosen to capture the defining characteristics of the DB4 Zagaton and, in some ways, create the ultimate version... well, at least that's what we think.

Take a look at the video below to see this stunning model for yourself and see whether you think it lives up to the great reputation.
