International Toy Fair 2013: Marklin

After spending most of the first day in the diecast hall at the International Toy Fair 2013, today we've managed to visit the model railway hall, which includes a number of well known model railway manufacturers like Hornby, Bachmann and Marklin. In fact, the Marklin booth is certainly one of the most impressive we've seen at the show and is definitely one of the biggest!

But what was most impressive about the Marklin stand were the incredible working layouts it had on display - including one that was almost as big as our office! People were crowding round the stand just to catch a glimpse of this superb layout... but you don't have to stand in line to see it because we made sure we filmed it for our coverage of the show. So, make sure you take a look in the video below.

Equally impressive - although on a slightly different scale - was a garden rail layout, complete with real plants and bushes! However, this display wasn't outside the show, Marklin had created a special indoor display to show model railway enthusiasts what could be possible in their garden. Forgot having a layout in your shed - just take over the garden instead!
