Ghostbusters was a 1984 American science fantasy comedy film. Written by co-stars Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, it also stars Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson, the latter joining the ghost-catching business of the three eccentric parapsychologists in New York.

The film was released in 1984 and was a critical and commercial success, receiving two Oscar nominations. The film launched the Ghostbusters media franchise, which includes a 1989 sequel, Ghostbusters II, two animated television series and several video games.

Known as Ecto-1, the car is a 1959 Cadillac professional ambulance, built by the Miller-Meteor company and converted by Universal Studios.

To celebrate the original film’s 30th anniversary, Hot Wheels Elite has released another version of the car in 1/18 scale. This time though, it’s mounted on a commemorative plinth with a superb set of figures depicting our four heroes.

With the usual superb Mattel build finish with all sorts of accessories and detailing, it’s a worthy extra release. So, who ya gonna call? Your retailer!
