1/18 and 1/43 scale models based on the blockbuster due this summer. ...
Exciting news for fans of the Caped Crusader, Hot Wheels has finally announced a release date for the eagerly anticipated BatPod, based on the unique vehicle seen last year's box office smash The Dark Knight Rises. Hot Wheels is creating both 1/18 (ref: X5471) and 1/43 (ref: X5496) scale versions of the 'Batcycle' which are due to be released in June/July, according to UK distributor Amerang - both editions are limited to no more than 10,000 pieces.

This motorcycle-ATV hybrid was custom made for the Dark Knight, fitted for ultimate protection with grappling hooks, cannons and machine guns. Equipped with a rotating saddle, the BatPod can maneuver under low clearances and physically elongate itself. Designed without handlebars, BATMAN steers with his shoulders, thus freeing up his hands to fight crime more effectively.

The 1/18 model is due in June and will retail for £139.99, while the smaller 1/43 edition is out in July and costs £64.99. Keep checking Collectors Club of Great Britain because we'll have a review once we get our hands on the models!
