The Gravesend Railway Enthusiasts Society is planning to hold a weekend of model railways on Saturday, 20th July and Sunday, 21st July. Held in The Old Town Hall, the Gravesend Central Model Railway Show promises plenty of layouts of various gauges and trade stands, including Andy Lynch Models, Bexley Model Centre, Darenth Valley Model Railways, David Willis - Model Railway Dealer and JB Photocards & Diecast Models, along with society stands from Epping & Ongar Railway, Gauge O Guild and, of course, the Gravesend Railway Enthusiasts Society.

Working layouts at the event include:

  • Ashdown Junction - British Rail - OO gauge
  • Big Big Train - British - O gauge
  • Fairs End - British Modern - OO gauge
  • Garden of England - British - 16mm
  • Havergo Junction - children's layout - OO gauge
  • Neuffen2 - European - Z gauge
  • Norvic Junction - BR Southern - N gauge

The event takes place from 10am until 5pm on the Saturday and 10am until 4pm on the Sunday, prices are: adults £4, children (5 - 15) £1, under fives free and a family ticket (2+2) £5.
