By now we hope you've heard the great news that ModelZone has returned to the high street, thanks to WHSmith. As we speak, the well known retailer is opening ModelZone departments within 10 of its stores - Birmingham, Cardiff, Croydon, Gateshead Metro, Glasgow Sauchiehall, Kingston, London White City, Manchester Arndale, Meadowhall and Reading. However, even better news is the fact that if you pick up the January issue of Diecast Collector, you'll get a voucher for 20% off any purchase in-store! That could mean a huge saving on some of the bigger items.

The new ModelZone locations are selling a range of items from the likes of Hornby, Airfix, Minichamps, Tamiya, Scalextric, Revell, Corgi, Bachmann, Syma and Oxford Diecast. We popped along to the Meadowhall WHSmith earlier this week and, although it was officially open yet, we spotted a numerous items on the shelves, including railway modelling accessories, diecast models and Scalextric... before we were herded out for being too nosey.
