Forward Models has announced the first two models in its new range of buses from the glory days of municipal transport, with half-cabs and ‘tin fronts’.

The unmistakable green and orange livery of Glasgow Buses adorns a Weymann-bodied Daimler CVG6 with fleet number D69 and registration FYS 524, on route 11 to Yoker. It carries advertisements for OMO soap powder and Rentaset Televisions, printed to Forward Models’ usual high standards. A separate sheet of transfers will provide four alternative destinations.

Another Daimler CVG6, this time a MCCW-bodied ‘K’ variant, is painted in the red and cream of Manchester with fleet number 4474 and registration NNB 284, on route 95 to East Didsbury. It carries advertisements for Crawford’s Cream Crackers and Heinz Ketchup, and it also includes a separate sheet of transfers with four destination options

These latest models are packaged in Forward Models’ new see-through carton. A stylish acrylic box top allows the model to be seen when displayed. The new package also carries a new logo.

Both buses are priced at £49.00 each and are available from www.forwardmodels.net.
