Route 66, a rock n roll soundtrack and a Greyhound bus… its an enduring image of ‘freedom’. I guarantee that the Greyhound bus that is part of most people’s vision is the GMC Scenicruiser. With its raised seating area, fluted sides and six wheels, aside from the London Transport Routemaster it is probably one of the most identifiable buses ever made. Introduced in 1954, it was still in service until the mid 1970s and more than 1000 were built. As a result, there have been a great many scale models made of this American icon and we explore the best diecasts in every scale.

Back to the UK, and we look at the Earls Court Motorshow of 1948. The Post War era was a time of massive change, and the first UK motorshow following the conflict showcased a new world of car designs. The model makers were quick to replicate some of these new cars, yet slow with others. We chart the models of the cars that debuted 70 years ago, at the Earls Court Motorshow.

We also take an in-depth look at the tracked and articulated John Deere tractor models made by Britains and Ertl – its probably the most in-depth article of its kind anywhere. Its everything you ever wanted to know about these models – and more.

For racing fans, we’ve assembled the best 1/43 scale models of the GT3 class racing cars – the cars of the Gentleman Drivers. From Aston Martin to Porsche and all points in between, we examine this fascinating formula and the exquisite models of the cars.

Truck collectors will love the story of the Corgi Modern Trucks range – 20 years ago, Corgi hit upon the idea to create 1/50 scale models of the commercial vehicles you see every day on the UK’s motorways, in a variety of accurate liveries reflecting the haulage firms that operate them. We look at our pick of the range so far.

There’s also tales of when buying models goes wrong, a diecast model of the Titanic, a VW Polo WRC that never raced, rear engined Czech limousines, Corvette Stingrays and even a Mechanical Horse. All this, plus more model reviews than any other UK magazine – 11 pages of our pick of the best currently available for you to buy from our team of experts – and the latest news from the world of diecast collecting. And so much more…
