A New Year seems like the perfect time to release new pictures of some new tooling and that's exactly what Corgi has done after unveiling its latest model of the Wright Eclipse Gemini 2. The manufacturer is planning two dual destination releases for the first half of 2014 and the first replica will arrive in May, in the form of the OM46501 A/B Metro Line.

VW1400 is one of a batch of 43 Volvo B9TL Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles delivered to Metroline in 2012/13. The bus is based at Willesden Garage and is normally to be found on the well-established trunk route 52, operating between Willesden (OM46501A) and Victoria (OM46501B), alongside hybrid versions of this vehicle. The route has a peak vehicle requirement of 24 buses at the busiest times.

Due for release in June is OM46502A/B carrying the recognisable livery of Brighton and Hove. The bus modelled here represents a Volvo Gemini used on Route 7, one of the most popular routes, running between George Street in Hove (OM46502B) and Brighton Marina (OM46502A) via the city centre up to every seven minutes.
