Online auction goes live to raise money for the Toy Trust charity. ...
Corgi has launched an eBay auction to win a one-off limited edition 1/36 scale Mini model, which is also the last ever casting with the number 822. The model is being auctioned off to raise money for the Toy Trust charity, as members of the Corgi team (along with their colleagues) at Hornby are cycling 70 miles around the Isle of Wight to raise money for children with special needs.

The model has been designed by Code3 Models from Swansea and is themed specifically on the Toy Trust charity bike ride carrying all the official Toy Trust 2013 bike ride logos and the famous Hornby Hobbies Ltd logos (Corgi, Hornby, Scalextric, Airfix and Humbrol).

Corgi has been producing Mini models since the nineties and has made hundreds of thousands of toys and collectibles that collectors value. The model auctioned will carry the unique product code of CC82289 and will be the last Mini model that that Corgi will produce carrying the 822 casting number – making this item extremely collectable among diecast collectors and Mini enthusiasts. Could this be one of those unique Corgi one-offs that collectors desperately search for in the future?!

The auction went live on Monday and is currently sitting very pretty at £1,000! However, don't despair, because there's still time for you to bid. The auction ends on 10th June and we'll be keeping a close eye on that final total. If you're interested in bidding, head over to the official eBay listing... and good luck to Team Hornby with the bike ride!
