Collecting highlights of 2013 - October to December Images
2013 has been a fantastic year for collecting. Over the past 12 months we've seen some amazing new releases, plenty of impressive auction results and we've filmed at numerous auctions and toy fairs. So, just in case you've missed any of the excellent coverage on Collectors Club of Great Britain, over the festive period we're going to round-up some of the best content... it's a bit like an advent calendar but with interesting stories instead of rubbish chocolate. Dinky Omnisport A40 fails to sell at auction

An extremely rare Dinky Omnisport A40 van has failed to sell at auction after it didn't meet its reserve. The model was estimated at £2,500 to £3,000 and bidding was going well at Adam Patridge Auctioneers in Liverpool between an interested buyer in the room and one on the phone. However, as the hammer hovered over £2,350, the telephone bidder chose not to carry on, bringing the proceedings to a premature conclusion. READ MORE...

Shopkeeper's box of 71 Rolykins Daleks sells for £5,100

Now, here's a perfect example of a hidden gem on eBay... on the 25th November a vendor listed the following on eBay: "Shopkeepers (rare)Box original Dr Who with 71 Darlek [sic] Rolykins".
