Australian manufacturer Top Gear has announced a fantastic Chrysler Valiant 50th Anniversary set, which is available to order now from its website. It's expected that the model will be in short supply, so collectors should order now to avoid disappointment.

In January 1962 Chrysler Australia introduced the R Series Valiant, which was based on the Plymouth Valiant from the US. The dramatically styled R Series Valiant was an immediate success with the 1,000 or so cars selling out fast, rivaling Ford and Holden’s competitor cars.

Chrysler quickly developed the more modernized S Series and styling changes included the removal of the fake tyre moulding on the boot, a finer grille and round tail lights and production lasted right up to 1981.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of these Valiants, Trax has produced a limited edition twin set featuring the first gold-plated 1/43 scale Valiant models which are displayed in a presentation box featuring original black and white photos.

Collectors can reserve the 1962 R and S Series twin set Valiants (Code TRG35S, RRP $99) from the Top Gear website or phone 1800 635 508. Trax is the registered trade mark of Top Gear Ltd.
