Pre-orders have opened for its 1/18 scale Volvo 244 Turbo saloon
DNA Collectibles has announced the opening of pre-orders for its 1/18 scale resincast model of Volvo’s 244 Turbo saloon. It will simultaneously be produced in four colourways, all as limited editions.
The Volvo 240 series was produced by the Swedish automaker between 1974 and 1993, over four different generations, and the Volvo 244 Turbo belongs to the third of these. The 240 series was designed in three model styles - saloon (244), estaten (245), and coupé (242). The trend at that time was to fit a turbo to easily boost the performance of the cars, and this 4-cylinder, 2.1-litre Volvo 244 Turbo featured a Garrett turbocharger, giving an output of 155 hp.
Priced at £166.99 each, DNA’s 1/18 scale Volvo 244 Turbo will be produced in four limited edition colours – Wine Red (499 pieces), Silver (399), Black (249) and Glacier Blue (249) – and each chassis will be individually numbered.
