The new year got off to a great start at Warwick & Warwick’s first toy sale of 2012, on Wednesday 18th January, at the Lord Leycester Hotel, Warwick.

In the diecast section a boxed Shackleton mechanical Foden FG Platform Lorry (pictured right), complete with original instructions, spanner and key, realised £368.

Of the model railway items on offer a OO gauge Hornby Dublo No 2245 Class AL1 Bo-Bo overhead electric E3008, in excellent condition, with good box and original instructions, sold for £437. Also of note were some Bassett-Lowke O gauge tinplate wagons. A splendid boxed No 21774 ‘Esso’ Tank Wagon made a total price of £575, while an unboxed No 1402/0 ‘Pratts Spirit’ raised £460.
