The London International Antique Doll, Teddy Bear and Toy Fair, celebrating 200 years of childhood, will take place on Sunday 19 November at Kensington Town Hall.

The London International Antique Doll, Teddy Bear and Toy Fair, celebrating 200 years of childhood, will take place on Sunday 19 November at Kensington Town Hall.

Following the success of last years inaugural event, the fair has moved to a larger venue to meet the demand of dealers who will be showcasing the finest examples of antique and vintage dolls, dolls' houses, juvenalia, toys, trains, teddy bears and soft toys.

The brainchild of Daniel Agnew (Christie's toy, doll and bear department) and Hilary Pauley (business woman and teddy bear collector) the fair is for antique and vintage items, and is date-lined with nothing after the 1970s.

Daniel Agnew said "I have been involved with antique toys for over 30 years now and I have a distant memory of the wonderful large fairs that were held in London, very much like the American and European fairs that still happen. Walking around rooms of historic childhood toys of all types I so wished there was something similar today. This was what Hilary and I planned and it was exactly what we achieved, it was like a walking around the museum where you could buy everything". Exhibitors will include David Robinson and Michael Canadas from the Carmel Doll Shop in California, Respectful Bear from Paris and The Art of the Tin Toy from London. Also at the show will be Clarjte Pennick from Amsterdam and Eric Petit from France.

Tickets are from £5 and can be purchased via www.200yearsofchildhood.com.
