Collectors Gazette recently had an exclusive look at the first pre-production 1/48 scale diecast BAe Hawk models produced by Big Box.

The Red Arrow Hawk T.1A will feature no decals but over 80 tampo impressions. The wheels can be up or down and the canopy can be open or closed. A highly desirable piece, luckily it is not a limited edition!

Featuring no decals but over 160 tampo impressions is the 208 Squadron Hawk T.1A – RAF Valley. It will also feature a changeable canopy and wheels but it is a limited edition of only 750 models worldwide.

As well as the aforementioned specs, the 151 Squadron Hawk T.1A – RAF Chivenor will be armed with 30mm ADEN centreline gunpod. It too will be a limited edition of 750 models worldwide.

The models have been developed over the last four years with BAE Systems (which makes the real aircraft) with a huge amount of assistance from its in-house Hawk Design Team.

All models are priced at £69.99 and come with a display stand. The new models are all officially RAF licensed products and are due into the UK in June 2011.
