The listing of Bachmann models and their many variations (with values) is the most comprehensive ever done, containing details additional to those found in the Ramsay’s Catalogue. The listing is complete up to July 2010 and has been edited with much help from Bachmann staff, who have tracked down many of the variations of which little was previously known.

The book runs to almost 200 pages and its 350 coloured photographs include virtually every basic model made so far. It also covers train sets, Scenecraft buildings, track, power units, spares and publications. Underground Ernie and Bachmann Brassworks are also included.

Each table of model variations has been arranged in an easy to use order under livery subheadings, and then in alphanumeric order. The book provides a brief history of the prototype on which each model was based. There is also a history of Kader and Bachmann, a reproduction of the four-part series that appeared in the Bachmann magazine which describes how new models are developed from idea to shop shelf and much more.

The foreword is by Graham Hubbard, MD of Bachmann Europe plc.
