The North East Die-cast Collectors Club will be holding a toy fair at North Lodge School, Chester-le-Street, on Saturday 15th October. As well as plenty of stalls, the club will also be selling its vans and cars bearing the logos of the Great North Air Ambulance and Help for Heroes. Proceeds from the models will go to the two charities.

Chris Heath, a friend of the club, will be displaying a selection of his model building diroramas at the toy fair. Chris has been hard at work creating models for his OO gauge model train layout, Wynyard Lane. Pictured is Chris’ Country Fire Station, in 1/76 scale. It stands at 6½in tall and the paving stone surround is formed from individual paving stones.

Dioramas are a great way of displaying your models if you want to give them a bit more ‘life’. Whether it’s an agricultural scene or perhaps a racing scenario, there are plenty of options.
