The latest two 1/24 scale steam engines from Midsummer Models are the Burrell Scenic Showmans, named ‘General Gough’, in Scenic Golden Gondolas livery, and ‘William V’ in the livery of William Murphy’s Electrically-Powered Scenic Railway.

These models, the fifth and sixth in the series, have both been produced in limited editions of just 500. They feature working motion, with disengable gearing, opening smokebox door and working steering, like all the Burrell models from Midsummer.

Meanwhile, limited numbers remain available of the Burrell Scenic Showmans, named ‘Earl Beatty’ in Anderton & Rowland Livery and the Burrell Road Locomotive ‘The President’ in Geo Cauldwell Livery, of which 1,000 of each were produced. These are priced at £215 and £190, while the latest two models are priced at £225 each, plus postage. An oak plinth and display case is also available for £35, which fits any model.
