A Gloucestershire institution, Moreton C Cullimore set up his transport firm more than 75 years ago, and was renowned for the movement of aggregate and general road haulage. Son Roger entered the company in 1961, but when Moreton died in 1972, Roger became Chairman, after already holding the post of Managing Director from 1969. Roger is still Chairman, but recently adorned his own son, Moreton F Cullimore, with the role of Managing Director, to make this a truly family-run enterprise... which is ever-growing.

Cullimore companies now run more than 80 vehicles, with general haulage tractor units and various trailers, for real versatility. The firm can move loads of up to 44 tonnes gross, actually carrying 29 tonnes. Based at Netherhills, on a 23-acre site, Cullimore enjoys first-class road links being just one mile away from the busy M5 motorway.

Oxford’s replica of this haulage powerhouse is a limited edition gem. Mounted on a neat black base with limitation card, it ably exemplifies the Cullimore brand and the virtues of the vehicle itself. And, while a base is provided, the model can be removed for display in other scenarios if desired.

The two-tone green tractor unit has excellent silver anti-slip panelling on the chassis behind the cab, and rich, red paint lower down for an eye-catching contrast.

Company titles and the lettering ‘Stroud, Glos.’ sit proudly on the front of the unit and are well-printed, but all of the livery’s rendering on this model is of high quality, such as the VX09 MOV registration plates.
