Available to pre-order now, Gemini Aces has released a Mustang Mk III, HB837, flown by Wing Commander Leonard Cheshire of the 617 Squadron, the Dambusters, July/August 1944.

The diecast model, in 1/72 scale, is limited to just 504 pieces and features an interchangeable undercarriage. It is exclusive to Jumblies Models.

Leonard Cheshire is a well-known name in both the aviation and philanthropic worlds. Born in September 1917, Cheshire joined the RAF after the outbreak of WWII. As noted by the team at Jumblies Models, his worthy wartime record makes his subsequent career all the more remarkable.

After the war, he became a charity worker, and set up Leonard Cheshire Disability in 1948. Today, Leonard Cheshire Disability creates opportunities for thousands of disabled people and their carers, offering over 150 services in the UK.

Internationally, Leonard Cheshire Disability services continue to grow, and there are now over 250 services in 55 countries around the world, including day care, skills training and rehabilitation, independent living and residential care.
