First Armagh City Hobby Show to take place Sunday 24th April at the Armagh City Hotel. ...

On Easter Sunday, 24th April, the first Armagh City Hobby Show will take place. Staged in the Fisher Conference Suite, Armagh City Hotel (2 Friary Road, BT60 4FR), the show promises to “have something for everyone”.

Models of every description –agricultural, construction, road and rail transport – will be available on the variety of trade stands. T-Met is the main sponsor of the event and it will be releasing a special issue T-cabbed Scania at the show. (Please note this model is only available from T-Met and not from any dealers and the original truck will be on display at the front of the hotel.)

For those modellers or hobbyists who could do with some inspiration on how best to display their collections, a number of dioramas will be exhibited by modellers from across the country, from Moira Farm and Construction Model Club to a display from Kilkenny. The emergency services also feature and a battlefield reconstruction joins the line up.

An added attraction will be a range of model rally cars and racing bikes which take on a special significance since the hotel serves as a service halt for the Circuit of Ireland rally.

All proceeds from the show will be donated to the charity CASH for KIDS which collects for the benefit of sick or disadvantaged children from the Province.
