Some of the new releases from Fire Brigade Models include a 1/76 scale fire station and a 1/76 scale police station.
The fire station, pictured right, is a city style station from the early 1900s. The model, which would certainly suit an emergency services diorama, is made from 10 sheets of card that is pre-cut. There is clear plastic for the appliances room door and printed white plastic windows for glazing. It is priced at £48.
The police station, also priced at £48, is the same model as the fire station but without the front door and a separate ground floor to convert to the police station. There is also an arch for cars to enter at the rear.
Joining Fire Brigade Models’ vehicle range are vehicles manufactured by both Fire Brigade Models and Oxford Diecast.
In 1/76 scale they include an Oxford Diecast AEC Regent Merryweather pump escape and pump with the Leyland Metz turntable ladder from the 1950s/early 1960s and a Fire Brigade Models 1970s/early 1980s Dennis F108 pump escape.
A range of complementary figures have also been released, including a set of eight wartime firemen. The figures, pictured below, are in the period uniform and are complete with wartime tin helmets.
