Exclusive First Editions has announced the forthcoming release of its 1/76 scale AEC Single Deck Routemaster, fleet number RM1368 – the accompanying photograph is of the pre-production sample.

On New Years Eve 1974, the full-size vehicle was involved in an arson attack when stationed at Tottenham Garage. As EFE explains, the damage was confined mainly to the upper deck, so this allowed the London Transport apprentices to convert it to a single decker.

Due for release in the autumn, the model will be produced in a one-off limited run and priced at £35. It will be on general release so keep an eye out at your local EFE stockist or, to reserve your model, call 0208 344 6720.

Scheduled for release now, EFE has added six more buses to its range:

• A Wright Renown is in the livery of C.M.T. Buses (Liverpool), a new fleet livery for EFE (Ref No 27627).
• Joining the East Yorkshire fleet is a 36’ BET 6 Bay Single Lamps bus (Ref No 35206).
• An Alexander Y Type joins the Northern General fleet (Ref No 22517).
• London Transport recieves a Daimler Utility Bus (Ref No 26410).
• A Leyland Olympian joins the London Country N.B.C. fleet (Ref No 29703).
• Joining the Eastern National N.B.C. fleet is a Bristol VRIII (Ref No 20451).
