Giles Brown has come up with some reproductions of old Britains farm people: The Farmer, Groom, Ploughman, Milk Maid and Old Man & Old Woman. The figures are £9.50 each painted, with castings from £2.80.

The figures are added to an increasing range of farm items now available from Dorset, good news for all ‘civilian’ collectors who see mostly military items being added to manufacturers’ ranges.

Dorset also has some ‘Quentin Durward’ figures. These are real nostalgia items for all of us old enough to remember the 1955 swashbuckling film. They are £11 each painted, with castings from £3.50. Other figures will be added if there is sufficient interest from collectors.

There is also a new cowboy from a mould Giles has use of from the old Scottish Soldiers range. This charming rider and horse is £25 painted, £7.70 casting. Other Scottish Soldiers items will appear during 2011.

P&P on all items is 10% UK, 18% overseas. Giles asked me to mention to collectors that his prices will have to rise soon due to the rapid increase in the cost of pewter.
