Few diecast bi-planes are as attractive as this offering, which wears the WWI markings of Clifford ‘Black Mike’ McEwen, of 28 Squadron. The model is finished in the appropriate olive green of the period, but the red and white chequers contrast beautifully, along with the large, white-trimmed roundels. There’s very good wood-effect on the propeller and the rigging is very fine.
