Chichester’s Annual Model Railway Exhibition will be held on Saturday 23rd October in the spacious Boy’s High School, Kingsham Road – the same venue as last year.

Organised by Chichester Lions Club, and sponsored by Richardsons of Midhurst – Coach Hire, there will be the usual comprehensive array of attractive and interesting layouts in scales ranging from the smallest (N gauge) to the passenger-carrying live-steam 5in gauge railway in the car park. More than 12 layouts are booked and more are expected. As always, there will be comprehensive support from traders, and three railway preservation societies will be there too.

An auctioneer specialising in collectable toys will be on hand to value any old toys you may have lurking in your loft.

Games for prizes will include a children’s ‘I-Spy on the Layouts’ competition, and ‘Pick-a-Winning Station’ which, this year, will be based on the map of the GWR to celebrate its 175th anniversary. It is hoped there will also be a Scalextric layout which anyone can try to win a prize for the fastest lap.

Car parking is free and there is easy access for the disabled. The school hall is only a short walk from Chichester railway and bus stations.
