Rare behind the scenes footage of Marilyn Monroe with co-star Clark Gable in the ‘Misfits’ lasting 47 minutes has been sold at auction in Las Vegas for $60,000 (£30,000).
The unique footage takes an intimate glimpse of the actors in personal moments as they prepare for scenes.
The two reels of 8mm film were shot by crew member Stanley Floyd Kilarr throughout the shoot. It features candid moments with stars Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable and other cast and crew working while the film is being discussed and filmed.
The lot was part of Julien’s Auctions Summer Entertainments sale that took place in June.
