ACE Trains will be releasing a pair of ACE Battle of Britain class Bulleid Pacifics under the name ‘Leonard Cheshire VC’.

One of the locomotives will be in Southern Railway livery and numbered 21C617 – the ‘Dambuster’ squadron. It will be donated by ACE Trains and auctioned in aid of Leonard Cheshire Disability at the annual ‘Trains Galore’ sale held by Special Auction Services in Newbury on Friday 10th December.

The other locomotive will be in British Railways livery and numbered 34617. It will be acquired by Bob Leggett, one of the area supervisors at Leonard Cheshire Disability.

No further examples will be released. ACE Trains is donating £10 per Battle of Britain class sold to Leonard Cheshire Disability.
