Merrythought launch official Olympic and Paralympic bears

Merrythought Ltd has launched its highly anticipated London 2012 Olympic Games and London 2012 Paralympic Games commerative teddy bears.
Both bears have been entirely hand-made within the original Shropshire borough of Much Wenlock by the last toy factory of its kind still producing in Britain today.
Both bears are based on an original Merrythought pattern from 1948 - the year London last hosted the Olympic Games - and are made using the finest mohair.
The London 2012 Olympic Games bear is offered in three colour ways: turquoise blue, pink and aqua green, each a limited edition of just 2,012. He is available from the London 2012 online gift shop priced at £85.
The London 2012 Paralympic Games bear is made using the finest grey mohair and is finished with a silky satin ribbon. He is also a limited edition of 2,012, with each bear numbered individually and presented in a bespoke presentation box.
Also released is a special Union Jack version of the London 2012 Olympic Games commerative teddy bear.
