Ahead of the Tynemouth Toy Museum sale at Vectis Auctions, we were lucky enough to have a sneak peak at the hundreds of different lots going under the hammer on 11th July, 2012. After the museum sadly closed down, Vectis is now responsible for a selling just a fraction of the thousands of toys that were previously on display. Due to the variety of toys the selection of lots available is staggering, from diecast cars to tinplate robots, dolls, teddies and plenty more. We were absolutely staggered by the electic mix and spent all day rooting through boxes to dig out interesting items. You can see the catalogue online at the Vectis website.
