Great news for Thunderbirds fans because toy maker Vivid Imaginations has announced it has been appointed as the master toy partner in Europe, Australia and New Zealand to create a whole new range of toys based on the upcoming TV series. The products are expected to launch in 2015 alongside the premiere of the new series - 50 years after Thunderbirds first debuted

According to Toy News, Vivid will produce a series of Thunderbirds are Go toys, including figurines and vehicles, diecast models, role play and dress up, construction, board games and puzzles. Here's hoping they live up to the original line-up of models created by Dinky!

"We are delighted to be partnering again with ITVS GE on Thunderbirds as master toy partner," said Paul Weston, CEO of Vivid. "The collective expertise of ITVS GE, Pukeko Pictures, Weta and Vivid make this a compelling must-have toy line for our retail partners across the world."

Trudi Hayward, SVP global merchandising at ITVS GE, added: "Vivid's position as a leading international toy manufacturer and familiarity with the iconic Thunderbirds brand makes the company the perfect toy partner for the new series."
